Merry Christmas from the DealTrak team!

Earlier this month the whole DealTrak team – as well as some of our partners – headed to the Royal Armouries in Leeds for our annual festive party.

We’d like to thank everyone for attending. It was a great night enjoyed by all, and there was some fantastic dancing!

We ate a delicious three course meal, and just before we tucked into dessert, our operations director Steve Lees took to the stage to present some of our amazing team members with awards.

First up was Application Developer Danny Griffith who received the ‘colleague of the year’ accolade for best representing the DealTrak values, and here we got a few words from him on what this meant:

“I have been at DealTrak now for over two years, and in that time I have won employee of the month and quarter. Last year, I just missed out on colleague of the year, so I have really upped my game throughout 2018!

“Most people hate coming to work after a weekend, but I never do. And the reason for this is because I enjoy being able to help people to fix their problems – no matter which part of the company they are from. There’s nothing better for me, than working with someone to create a solution for something that has been causing a lot of stress – it instantly makes their day and makes them smile.

“In addition, I have also supported the client services team improve their efficiencies, by reducing the amount of internal phone calls we receive, which allows them to focus on other tasks. I think this is why I have been selected for the award – and I am delighted to have won!”

Our next winner was Lead Application Developer Mark Taylor, who was awarded ‘colleague of the year’, this time for ‘delivery’. He said:

“I have been with DealTrak for around three and a half years now, and I have worked tirelessly to improve the firm’s platform, so this award means a great deal to me.

“I am the architect of many of the key improvements made to the Dealtrak platform over the last three years. I led a large project earlier in 2018 to migrate our entire infrastructure to the cloud which resulted in improved performance, scalability and maintainability. It’s great to have my hard work recognised and appreciated – I love being a part of a company that supports the growth of colleagues who want to make a difference.”

We’d also like to say a huge congratulations and thanks for the hard work and efforts from our two runners up from the night James Beck, Senior Client Services Executive and Katie Barwood, Product Manager.

Our team continues to go above and beyond to drive our business forward, and we wouldn’t be where we are today without our colleagues, so we’d like to thank each and every one of you!

Here’s to an even bigger and better 2019!
