In this instalment we’re finding out more about Helen Goodwin, our management accountant who loves to get to grips with everything that happens at DealTrak.
Summarise your role in one paragraph
I’m responsible for producing monthly management accounting information and other less frequent reports, such as forecasts. I work closely with Liz Ingham, finance admin manager, and Jo Burton, financial controller, and really get involved with most aspects of the firm’s finance function.
What’s the best part of your job?
Having an in-depth knowledge on what is happening across the business.
Which one word do you think your colleagues would use to describe you?
Chatty.
What’s been the most satisfying moment of your DealTrak career so far?
Leading a presentation at a company update.
What do you love about the DealTrak office?
The barista-style coffee machine and dogs!
Workplace wellbeing is something which is really important at DealTrak HQ, so what’s your favourite work perk?
Perkbox! It has saved me money on my gym fees and boiler cover, as well as getting my free Café Nero coffee every month.
Health Shield has been really good too and has helped me resolve a painful head and shoulder problem that I had been suffering from for a while!

What are your hopes for DealTrak in the coming year?
A successful delivery of the rewrite project, and continuing to work together to achieve bigger and better things.
What is the biggest challenge facing the industry over the next 12 months?
Providing a good service while meeting increasing demands – in terms of data processing and compliance with FCA guidelines.
